A great little place off of Rosemont Avenue in Frederick to visit on a sunny afternoon. This is an ‘ancient’ house built back in 1758 and they give tours daily except on Mondays. It’s a nice little place located next to Baker Park and they have small fairs and the like on some days during the year. It’s an interesting place if you’re into seeing old decrepit houses. This house has lost it’s funding and it needs your help! If they don’t get enough revenue from giving tours and the giftshop, it will be shut down. Then it will be sold to the county and will eventually become a run-down little shack that no one can visit. And it will also be ugly.

Save Schifferstadt!

Location: 1110 Rosemont Avenue Frederick, MD 21701

Tour Prices: 3$ for adults, children are free; there’s a giftshop inside the house.
