Good restaurants?
Teenage Love?
Because I haven’t been to any noteworthy restaurant in a long while, I’d like to have your opinion on a very controversial subject.
Teenage love.
Oh yes, the ever-bitter, forever-dramatic teenage love. Sophomore dating a freshman? What about a senior and a freshman? Or maybe freshman to freshman? Or possibly 8th grader to 8th grader? I’d just like to say a few words…
We can love. I swear we can. It might not be love to you adults out there, but belittling us doesn’t make it any less real. Sure, we call it love. But is it love? Not necessarily, but isn’t love just a deep passion for someone that you’ve had now and forever? I’ll admit that I love someone. I’ve loved him for a long time. (A year and a half. Maybe two.) But I’ve learned to live with it. He was there for me, and I was there for him. That’s a bond you cannot break, that of trust. Trust and love are hand in hand, my dear adult (or teenage) friends. Children can love. They can feel just as well as you can, but yet, I think their love is much more pure. It isn’t tainted by the sadistic reasoning of this world, or that of politics. They love for a real reason, they love without sin, and they never commit infidelity because they don’t know what that is. In all honesty, children are the best examples. They call love holding hands and kissing and telling each other secrets. That’s what it’s all about; that and communication.
So dear readers, thank you for taking the time to read above, and I’d like your opinions on this as well.
House Returns!
I also watched the House season premiere. If you watched that, I give you massive kudos. I love shows like this including Bones. I think Desperate Housewives is back on next week too! Doncha’ love the fall? All the new seasons? (Stargate Atlantis is not renewing it’s season! Boo!) Anyways, was anyone else completely unsatisfied with the new episode? I really was dissapointed. The ending was just so simple and not even a weird twist like they normally do. House is being an even bigger ass than he was from the previous seasons, however he did admit he was wrong and whatnot. That would be a huge step for a man like House… I’m happy they have kept Cameron and Chase in the series, even if it is sporadic. You know in real life they’re engaged? It’s so cute! It makes me grin inside. The ending was just the ‘pretty leprosy’ diagnosis. Well I suppose it’s an answer to her problems, but it’s so unoriginal. Remember that episode about they boy that swallowed a toothpick and almost died? That’s imaginative on the part of the writers. Also, killing Amber wasn’t a great idea in my opinion. They could’ve kept her on for at least another season. She added in such an interesting twist in with her dating Wilson and all that. AND House had a ‘thing’ for her. So why’d they have to kill the ‘conniving bitch’? Geez, just kills the series….
Fringe; The New Fox TV Series.
Has anyone seen this? I just watched an episode a few days ago and I was thoroughly freaked out. It was about a gene mutation that made people grow a million times faster than average. The whole show just freaked me out, and I like watching things like CSI and House. I also have a penchant for James Patterson, Kathy Reichs, and Vince Flynn novels…. Anyways, mixing in Sci-Fi in like this just makes it creepy. I also enjoy sci-fi like Stargate SG-1/Atlantis and the Startrek series. However this episode made me close my eyes on more than one occasion and gag quite a bit. If there are any lovers of Fringe out there, I’d like to say you have a much better stomach than I do, or you’re just a hell of a lot more messed up.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager
Ok, so I have a slight beef with this show. It is called the Secret Life of THE American Teenager. Not A. THE. Not all teenagers go out and have sex with drummers! (Although a small fraction of my school’s population does. Drummers ARE irresistible). However, not everyone does! This is giving all of us a bad rap because it’s saying that all of us have irresponsible sex, or have sex at all. Uhm, excuse me for a minute but I am proud to say that I’m a virgin. And that show is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Freshman having sex? Maybe 2% of my freshman class were not virgins. I mean come on! That show makes it seem like everyone that’s a freshman has sex and is pressured into it. No, a small fraction are pushed into it. Honestly, a lot of guys (and a large portion of girls) WANT to lose it. They WANT to have sex. Also, Ben proposing to Amy and saying he loves her? WHAT?! That is SO unconvincing and so absurd! How could the writers for TSLotAT ever come up with this horrid script! As addicting as this show is, with it’s absurd drama and weird conflicts, terrible title, and horrid storyline, it’s still admittedly interesting.
