Ha, I'd like to agree with you. Some kids take that 'final' step, and I think it's just too far.

I am an adult! So, my young friend here is my opinion on "teenage" love. I believe that you can love. My fear is that often you become too "deep" in love too quickly. You become too adult before you need to. You lose your innocence before you need to. My advice would be to take it slow. Enjoy friendship. enjoy holding hands, walking together, talking together, laughing together. Leave the adult stuff for when you are older! I have teen age kids who have fallen into that adult trap of love way too early and gotten so hurt by it that it has caused them to grow up way to quickly. don' fall into that trap. that's my advice to you! Hold on to your youth!

I definitely have beef with the show, as well, but mostly because they portray every sexual encounter as immoral and unsatisfactory. I mean, there are such things as devoted high school couples who regularly have great, responsible sex. I also feel like the writers portray all the guys (with the possible exception of Ben) as being completely sex-obsessed and inconsiderate of their girlfriends' feelings: Ricky wants ass all the time, the football player pressures his abstinent girlfriend to disregard her beliefs, and Ben's friend constantly asks his girlfriend to give into sex. I think that the boys not being able to control their sexual urges is an incredibly unfair stereotype.

I do not have too much to say that is positive about the Whaling Company. We were at the establishment August 16, 2008. The place looked great from the outside. I agree the lighting was quite dim and insufficient. From the beginning of this adventure, we were overlooked for seating and another party taken right from walking in the door. That should have been a sign. When it was brought to their attention, they made the effort to seat our party of 4 quickly.

That was the only time I can say they responded quickly. After waiting 15 minutes to order our drinks, I should have known that this was a downhill adventure. We ordered an appetizer (crab dip). This was not brought to the table for 45 mintues. It had no taste other than the cheese -- a very little quantity of crab was actually in the dip.

After we had been there for 65 minutes, we were finally asked what we would like to order for dinner. After 90 minutes were asked if we wanted refills to our drinks. I responded that I was done and would hurt someone for a cracker if my meal was not there shortly. The smarty pants waiter left the table and returned with a bag of oyster crackers. I WAS NOT AMUSED! At the 2 hour mark, we were finally served our dinner.

I am not sure if it was pure starvation or if the food was good, but the meal was tasty. It was not so pleasant a few hours later, but that may have been the atmosphere and stress of lousy service.

I will never recommend or patronize this establishment after the service from the depths. You are better off visitng Long John Silver.
